Branding design for Raster Roast

Raster Roast is an up and coming Wellington based cafe that has decided to branch out into selling coffee beans + iced drinks. For the design I decided to create my own font using a grid system. This collateral design project draws on typographic elements and techniques explored in my third-year typography class. The red modular typeface featured in this work was hand-drawn using a custom grid system. This allowed for a bold, structured aesthetic, perfect for Raster Roast.

  • Raster Roast font designed by me! The secondary font is called Helvetica Neue. All mockups found on Mockuptree and Freepik 

I have combined a playful visual identity with clear, cohesive typography to reflect a contemporary and inviting atmosphere. The colour palette for this project was chosen because I learnt in my marketing class that red draws attention, it evokes emotion. While, the black background adds contrast to enhance readability.
